Partnering with others

As a church in Coventry we have a big mission but we also believe it is right to support those with a specialist mission in the local area and those who are working in other countries where local support for mission is not available. This section of the website shows the organisations we support as a church both with finance and prayer. Many individuals within our community support other organisations as well.

Uganda link

The church has developed links with Baptists in  Uganda over the a number of years. In 2014 we sponsored a visit to the UK of Paul Kyalimpa, pastor of Rwamukoora Baptist Church. In 2018 a group of six from the church visited Uganda.

We hope this will lead to a long standing relationship between the two churches and also with the Kyenjojo Baptist Association.

Wycliffe Bible Translators

Simon & Lynn Caudwell  have a long standing relationship with Queen’s Road. They spent 13 years with Wycliffe in Ethiopia, and for a good part of that time living with the Basketo people, initiating and overseeing the development of a written language and the translation of Scripture into Basketo.

Changing roles

Over the years their roles have changed and they are now both work half their time for SIL International (Wycliffe) as Leadership Development consultant/trainers, This involves writing and leading courses in cross cultural leadership and team building and coaching new leaders. They are involved in developing leadership and HR strategy globally. This means they can work from their home in Hexham (using skype and other internet technologies) as well as travelling abroad.

For the other half of their time they are seconded to Redcliffe Christian College for cross cultural mission as MA lecturers and trainers in short courses on leadership and team building.

We have on several occasions been a BMS Action Team Training Church.

Baptist Home Mission

Home Mission is all about helping Baptist churches and individuals to reach their mission potential and bring the love of God to their communities. It is the Baptist family purse, and each year our Union has an appeal to raise money for Home Mission. The money raised funds:

Grants to local churches. These 200+ grants include church planting, renewing local churches and mission project grants. Through Home Mission hundreds of lives have been affected and many have found faith in Jesus.

Christian Aid

Christian Aid is a Christian organisation that insists the world can and must be swiftly changed to one where everyone can live a full life, free from poverty. We provide urgent, practical and effective assistance where need is great, tackling the effects of poverty as well as its root causes.

Queen's Road supports the work of Christian Aid particularly through Christian Aid week. During times of world disasters the church has an emergency appeal which is often channeled through Christian Aid.
